Today AGRO-LARGO Mezőgazdasági és Kereskedelmi Kft. is a company with 100% Hungarian ownership, the majority owner, Péter Zsigmond Patakfalvi and his children play a leading role in the operation of the firm, and they have a positive vision regarding technology development within the agricultural field, in particular in the sowing-seed production segment.
Our company is involved in the cultivation, wholesale and export of sowing-seeds. We have an up-to-date warehouse base and a seed processing plant. We have been a major player in the Hungarian agriculture since our foundation in 1990.
We take pride in our own varieties representing quality in the domestic market and on abroad as well. In connection with our products that we have developed we keep working on with MATE (Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences) with headquarters at Keszthely and Gödöllő, because we believe that research and development are important, just as the role of the next generations in Hungarian sowing-seed production.
With our products we target areas of limited need, where the customers require excellent quality. Therefore instead of corn, sunflower, oilseed rape or wheat we offer professional products within the red clover, crimson clover and grass seed segment. In case of park grasses we are supplying all the multinational chain stores, and 30% of our total revenue is from export.
Our partners play an outstanding role in sowing-seed production, during the production period they consult our specialist repeatedly, and pay attention to our recommendations regarding the technology. We jointly schedule the harvest, and it is a major task for us to make the materials shipped from different locations homogeneous, then to pack it and prepare for export. Our ISO 9001 system facilitates the production and cultivation of sowing-seeds of the same quality, which has been appreciated by our foreign partners as well.
Our main activities include the production and the distribution of park seeds, fodder crop mixes and environmental management products. We prepare grass seed mixes for the farmers based on individual needs. In addition to this we perform targeted seed cultivation on several thousands of hectares involving our sowing-seed producing partners.
Since 2012 we have coordinated our domestic and foreign commercial activities from our seat located at Gyál, and due to the ongoing developments, the central warehouse base is responsible for supplying the international chain stores as well.
We established a high-quality warehouse system in order to serve the commercial activities and the logistics tasks. The agricultural wholesalers, producers, farmers have fast and safe access to seeds within the whole are of the country, and regionally, too. We have started to produce in accordance with ISO standard in 2003, we keep automatizing our technology.

Continuous quality control – quality-oriented activity
In order to have a fast and up to the standard service it is essential to have the experience of our associates in cultivation and seed cleaning, and the labour performed by our seed plant we fully own. The technical background of the professional work is provided by the machines of the worthily famous Danish Westrup company.
